A subway station by night – wall paintings seem to be livelier than ever, a busker is picking up last coins among dumped coffee cups bearing the names of unknown people brought together by taking that particular metro line. Subway sign boards are showing 00:02 a.m. The metro is closing; all passengers are kindly requested to leave.
Under normal circumstances, Nancy and Andrew would not even take a look at one another. Yet having missed their last train, they both get imprisoned on the closed platform. Neither of them has the faintest idea that their accidental encounter will turn out to be the most important event of the upcoming eleven years. While the remote metro station with a little café remains unchanged, the destiny of the two protagonists will take an unexpected turn. Will Nancy and Andrew ever realize they might have had their life chance within reach?
The chamber musical tells a story of two individuals whose life paths cross in a station of the metro. Shall they follow the beaten track, in the rhythm of the merciless metronome, or set off into the unknown? Shall they leave their lives to chance or fate?
