Accompanied by live music, our playful puppet show revolves around the idea of what is going on in our city while we are sleeping. Behind lighted windows we can spot silhouettes of those who stay up late. A sleepwalking neighbour is creeping out of his window, a bank around the corner has just been robbed and a self-proclaimed superheroine is setting out for a night stroll. The night-time city glitters with street lamps and colourful neon lights; strange shadows are appearing and disappearing on its streets. Whom do the shades hide? Who is waiting there? Who is he or she looking for? And why do we say that “the darkest place is under the candlestick”? The city never sleeps. The city bursts with nightlife. If you want to explore it you needn’t stay awake till the dawn – do come to Polárka! Well, you mustn’t fear the darkness…
